Recreation

 

o      Lake of the Ozarks State Park has 17,441 acres to offer visitors. There you will find many campsites, cabins, stables, marina, visitor center, two sandy beaches, cave tours, playgrounds, picnic areas, group camps, and much more.

 

o      Bagnell Dam is of concrete gravity type and is 2,543 feet long. You can drive over the dam on highway 54 near Lake Ozark, MO. There is also a 3 foot wide sidewalk next to the highway for walking across.

 

o      Ha Ha Tonka State Park is located 5 miles southwest of Camdenton, off US Hwy 54, on Route D in Camden county. Inside the park you will discover a natural bridge, The Colosseum, Whispering Dell sink basin, Counterfeiter’s Cave, Robber’s Cave, tall bluffs, and Ha Ha Tonka Spring.

 

o      Bridal Cave acquired it’s name from the legend of a legendary Indian wedding ceremony held in the cave in the early 1800s. The cave can be reserved for romantic weddings. Also, come and see the crystal clear waters of Mystery Lake inside the cave. The cave is located 2 miles north of Camdenton on Highway 5.

 

o      Willmore Lodge can be seen at #1 Willmore Lane in Lake Ozark, MO. The Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is located inside the lodge. The lodge houses the history of it’s region including the Osage River, Bagnell Dam, and the development of the Lake of the Ozarks. Willmore Lodge can also be rented.
