Fox Ridge is located 8 miles south of Charleston. The park occupies 1,632 acres. The park is set amidst rolling hills along the forested bluffs of the Embarras River. There is a dam and spillway which created the 12-acre Ridge Lake. |

Arrowheads and artifacts uncovered in this area indicate habitation by prehistoric Native American cultures. The park offers camping, fishing, picnicking, hiking, playground, and hunting. |
