Eldon Hazlet State Recreation Area

	Eldon Hazlet is the largest campground in the Illinois State Park system. Eldon Hazlet State Recreation Area takes up 3,000 acres on the west shore of Carlyle Lake. Eldon Hazlet gets it's name from a Carlyle attorney who organized the Kaskaskia Valley Association.
	Illinois largest man-made lake, Carlyle Lake, take up 24,580 acres. The maximum depth is 32 feet and there is 85 miles of shoreline.
